Balance Interrupted

Giving emphasis to the possibility of global extinction, Colleen's large diptych paintings are symbolic of the climate crisis already encroaching on our daily lives. Each work is  separated into two panels to suggest the human-caused interruption of  balance in the natural world.

Jan works intuitively letting the  work in progress guide her thoughts and offering the different forms it takes. Her work is a conversation between the artist, her media and her vision.
