Membership
TAG/THE ARTISTS GALLERY has been representing emerging and established local artists for thirty four years. As an artist-owned gallery, TAG affords artists both the opportunity to show, to experience that special creative synergy among artists, and to participate in the running of the Gallery. Most months of the year two Full Members are featured in solo exhibitions, and a changing monthly show of other members’ work is displayed as well. Sculpture, collage, installation, photography, ceramics, printmaking, and painting are among the media represented. Gallery artists hold Opening Receptions on Frederick’s popular “First Saturdays,” which consistently draws a strong turn-out. Our newly redesigned website and Facebook page also offer Internet visibility to our members.
We are currently offering two types of membership:
FULL MEMBERS are entitled to have solo shows, participate in all group shows, have work in the bins, but have the responsibilites of gallery sitting, being on committees, attending meetings and more. To read more about and potentially apply for Full Membership, click here.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are entitled to participate in the Annual Associates Show, have a framed piece in the gallery 5 times a year, have work in the bins and more. Associates do not sit, are not required to attend meetings, and do not have solo shows. To read more about and potentially apply for Associate Membership, click here.
