Nancy McLoughlin, originally from Washington, DC, lives in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and has exhibited for many years in the tri-state area. She graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1963.
McLoughlin lately has been exploring landscapes and waterscapes in pastels and acrylics. Before that she produced several series based on the shapes and patterns of overhead electric utility wires and devices.
"After the first few strokes, I’m into whatever I’m into. Each idea and image takes me to many places before I say the picture is done.”
