"This Way Through"

This Way Through is an invitation for viewers to wander in and out of the spaces I have created through the digital collage process. Within this series, doors, windows and hallways become the vehicle for the viewer’s movement. “There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors of perception.”  (Attributed to and adapted from Jim Morrison, Alduos Hoxley, and William Blake).

Working exclusively with Photoshop I allow dreams, random thoughts, and the detail-oriented process of digital photo collage to inform my work. I have long been drawn to abandoned spaces, repetition, and the creation of a place that does not really exist. I refer to this as digital storytelling. Often the resulting images reflect a time and space that is in limbo, caught somewhere between real and surreal.

Is there a clear explanation or a concrete why to my images? No. It is simply an invitation to come and explore.
