TAG artist Marie Riccio was instrumental in the curation of “Still Happenings” a contemporary still life painting exhibit at VisArts (visartscenter.org). Opening Reception at this special Plein Air Summer Show is August 18, 3-6 pm and will continue through September 21st, with a closing reception on September 20th from 6-8 pm. This juried exhibition includes some of the most well-known and celebrated Mid-Atlantic Plein Air artists.

Featured are works 12 different artists created, inspired by Downtown Frederick during the past year of First Saturdays, including work by TAG artists Tom Ritchie, Karen Winston-Levin, Paula Rubin-Wexler and Tom Semmes, for this month long show.
TAG artists, Bonny Lundy, Marie Riccio, Christine Stovall, and Karen Winston-Levin, participated in “Barnstormers 2108” the Frederick County Landmarks Foundation barn tour and paint-out on June 9th. Participants painted at the barns on the tour of The Barns of Wolfsville. Bonny Lundy’s watercolor painting (left) and Marie Riccio’s oil painting (right) each won one of five ribbons given out as “Best in Show.”
Four artists from The Artists Gallery/TAG were accepted into The 2018 National Juried exhibit at the Delaplaine Visual Arts & Education Center. The artists are Karen Peacock, Trish Stockman, Julie Maynard, and
Sarah Higgins. The exhibit will be open May 5 - June 17. This year 71 pieces were accepted from among the 517 artworks submitted by 180 artists. Laura M. Amussen, Director of Exhibitions and Curator at Goucher College’s Rosenberg and Silber Galleries, and an educator at Towson State University, is serving as the exhibit juror.
