Christina Lund’s art is currently influenced by her work as a plein aire painter in the Frederick area. In addition to working outside, she is exploring abstract work and working with the figure. Her primary medium is oil paint on canvas or board.
Christina Lund has lived many places in the US as well as in France, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. Frederick has been her home since 1977.
She graduated with a BA degree in Fine Art from Saint Olaf College in Minnesota and studied at Cal State LA, The Corcoran School of Art, The Institute College of Art in Baltimore, as well as with local artists. Her work has been shown in the Frederick area since 1980 and in many regional and group shows, including the Delaplaine Visual Art Center, the Catapetl Gallery, Hill Top House, and the Artists’ Gallery. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the country.
