Palma is an intuitive, versatile photographer of 40 years working with alternative, traditional and digital methods within fine art, stock, editorial, portrait  and commercial venues. Her background is diverse in music, theater and art. She has a BS in education and is certified in graphic art.

Palma’s beginning started in the darkroom of a camera club in NY. In 1999 she opened a studio in Frederick, MD. In 2001 she became a member of TAG. In 2012 she moved to the Adirondack mountains of NY, seasonally off grid. There she joined Ti Arts Gallery in Ticonderoga and Birds of a Feather in Chestertown. During that time she exhibited watercolor and mixed media in addition to photography. 

Palma is now in Frederick full time and has re-joined TAG.

 “For me, photography allows the expression of all art within one medium. Rhythm is composition and light is an ever-changing performance. Just as words can describe an encounter, a photograph is a dance of language”.
